Prior to Cooper Brownlee’s extensive coverage, I always thought of Australia as that country that produces riders like Ryan Guettler and Corey Bohan. Street wasn’t something I really associated with that scene because honestly there was very little presence surrounding it. I feel like Cooper singlehandedly changed that for the whole country. Through print, DVD’s, web vids and clothing, Cooper has been pushing the Aussie underground up and his efforts has most definitely paid off. Now it’s not uncommon to see the riders that Cooper found in nearly every major company in BMX.

As if all that wasn’t enough for Coops, he is an absolute shredder in front of the camera also. Even though he rides the typical 4 peg and freecoaster setup, his riding is more akin to Lino Gonzalez than any skate plaza rider. He has rail precision which allows him to do boss maneuvers like double peg to double tire. On an actual handrail. Cooper is a creative don. Plain and simple.
