Artemis: R Magic Monoceros

Here is Artemis’s Rare Dress/Dressia, Magic Monoceros from her chosen attribute, Celestial. This is taken from the constellation, Monoceros the Unicorn. I feel like this could pass as a PR for AiPlanet standards.

So I quickly finished this drawing after watching @precure-stuff 's PR design video 😊 I was inspired by the idea but I chose Mecha Paniq rather than doing it randomly lol

Artemis: CR Ambrosia Princess and PR Cherry Draco

In honor of Valentine's Day, we have Artemis in her Campaign Rare Dress/Dressia, Ambrosia Princess inspired by the Princess Constellation, Andromeda. Next, in honor of spring, we have Artemis's Premium Rare Dress/Dressia, Cherry Draco. This is taken from the Dragon Constellation, Draco. Did I use spring and Valentine's Day as an excuse to made a Sakura dress? Yes. Very much so.

Artemis: PR Curing Ophiuchus

Contrary to what media and some literature depict, Ophiuchus is not a bad constellation. It only has that rep because it's "the ignored zodiac constellation," so it often gets a villain or dark role. Spoilers for some series.

In Fairy Tail, Ophiuchus is the forbidden black Zodiac Key. It's also a the main antagonist for the Eclipse filler arc. In Star Twinkle Precure, the Ophiuchus Princess is a sociopathic antagonist who has destroyed SEVERAL planets, killing its inhabitants in the process. And in the book "Zodiac" by Romina Russell, Ophiuchus is the exiled 13th Zodiac and is suspected of exacting revenge on whatever (I didn't actually read the book. I just remember my friend talking about the book and so I had to look up the book to confirm my memory). I said spoilers, right? Yes I did. You were warned.

The Ophiuchus constellation and it's mythical story is really interesting. Allow me to tell you right here and now. Ophiuchus is said to represent Asclepius, a doctor so talented that he could bring back the dead (He's also the guy Zeus lit on fire or struck with lightning to stop him from stealing Hades' subjects). But do you know why he was able to revive the dead. This story explains it.

The King of Crete's son, Glaucus fell into a jar of honey and drowned. Asclepius saw a snake slither by the body and hastily killed the snake. Then another snake came by with a leaf. By having the leaf touch the dead snake, it was revived. Asclepius saw this and thought to use the leaf on Glaucus, and it worked. He tried it on other dead beings, and this is how Asclepius could bring back the dead. But Zeus was concerned about humans becoming immortal if Asclepius could keep reanimating them. Then Hades was concerned about the flow of the dead and perhaps the dead leaving. So Zeus killed Asclepius via lightning and placed him in the sky as the Serpent Bearer, Ophiuchus. The serpent clearly coming from the snake Asclepius killed and how he discovered the way to revive the dead.

    I chose to do the constellation Ophiuchus because I figured the Horoscope type wouldn't. Aikatsu ignored Ophiuchus previously in the OGKatsu with the constellation dresses. They included Pluto in the Star Wings lineup in Aikatsu Stars (2016) despite Pluto not being a planet since 2006. Ophiuchus being a constellation is a bit of a debate because it's on the Zodiac plane, and it's large size could place it above several of the existing Zodiac signs. However, I personally don't consider it a constellation since it's not entirely on the Zodiac plane, it disrupts up the 12 month cycle, the ancients always had 12 members of the Zodiac (both east and west), and it's always constantly ignored as an "official" Zodiac in literally EVERYTHING or portrayed in a bad light, so I just can't consider Ophiuchus a Zodiac. Besides, plenty of other constellations touch the Zodiac plane, but I don't see debates about Aquila (the Eagle) or Pegasus being a Zodiac (There's actually a term for these constellations and it's parazodiacal).

If you can't tell, there are snakes in this design, in both the dress and the on the Dressia. The snake is said to represent rejuvenation and rebirth because of the shedding of their skin so the snake can become anew. I also added a caduceus or 2 since the caduceus is a symbol of medicine. I used white and gold to counter the dark image I often see Ophiuchus associated with. I was also slightly inspired by the Scarabia dorm uniforms from Twisted Wonderland for an odd reason (dumb snakes). Of course, I had to have that goddess image and the starry pattern. I had with the skirt shape and made an interesting silhouette with it.
