recently discovered that there are a bunch of cheap knock-off art markers out there O.O
I don’t know how many of them you know, but I’ll list the ones that I found :3
I really want to buy some of them to do a comparison, but it will get crazy expensive, I can’t really justify buying a lot of markers, that I wont use later on... I wanted to at least make a list for you :3 All of these comes dual ended, with a chisel and a bullet nib (No cheap brush nibs :’/)
**I wont list any of the ebay sellers, because many of the auctions/sellings has a deadline date as to where it is no longer available.**
If you search on the name, and nothing comes, try to search “art markers” and then choose “buy now” and list minimum selling as £10 ($20) and search through the pages.
COLOR MARKER STA: Art.no.3202
Manufacturer: STA
These are a bit hard to come by... I found some on Aliexpress and some on Ebay. There isn’t many search hits when I try to search for it, so either these are slowly moving off the market, or else they’re just not very popular.
There isn’t many hits on youtube either.
I found an auction on ebay selling these, though the picture of the marker without caps is different from the ones that the person is selling..
97 markers for bitting start price £63 or $90.
HI-TECH TWIN ART MARKERS
Manufacturer: Can’t seem to Identify - origin: China
These are actually listed quite a lot on ebay as “No brand” markers.
They look a lot like the “touch FIVE” and “Touch liit” and “Touch new” that are all Shinhan touch look-a-likes (I will go over them later)
I haven’t found them in singles, but you can usually get them in sets (that also imitates the other touch look-a-likes sets) with either 30, 40 or 60 pieces.
These markers are from China, and comes in their own carry case.
From the four sellers that I looked at on Ebay, they all had more or less the same pictures. The color charts was the only pictures that varied due to the quantity differences.
The sets that you can choose between from all the four sellers that I found are:
(The spelling is taking directly from the sellers)
- Comic
- Standard
- Student
- Fashion
- Innar room
- Environmental art
- Industry
- Landscape
- Construct
- Product.
The example pictures that I choose was for “comic”, since I’m drawing manga.
The 30 pack:
TOUCH FIVE ART MARKERS
Manufacturer: AP (?) - origin: probably China
A lot of youtubers has unboxing videos on “Touch three” markers. I couldn’t seem to come around them on ebay. I think it is the same company that made touch three markers, are also making the touch fives. My theory is that the touch fives are a new and improved version, but I have honestly not looked too far into it. These are clearly knock-offs of Shinhan touch. They look completely identical aside from the name and the nibs.
It comes in two ‘body colors’ - white and black. With the Shinhan touch the white marker indicates a chisel+brush nib and the black indicates a chisel+bullet nib. This is NOT the deal with the Touch five. With these markers you simply just choose what color you want your marker to be, it will still have the same nibs: Chisel and bullet.
The ink is alcohol based.
From one of the cheapest sellers that I could find, the prices are:
30 pcs.: £18.75 ~ $26,6
40 pcs.: £21.99 ~ $31,2
80 pcs.: £ 35.99 ~ $51
168 (all) pcs.: £ 75.99 ~ $107,7
The 30 pcs sets comes in:
- Architecture design
- Landscape design
- Animation design
- Fashion design
- Interior decorator
- Product design
- Enviromental ART 1
- Enviromental ART 2
The 40 pcs sets comes in:
- Architecture
- Student use
- Interior decorator
- Landscape design
- Product design
- Fashion design
- Animation design
The 80 pcs set comes in:
- Architecture
- Generel
- Interior decorator
- Landscape design
- Product design
- Fashion design
- Animation design
The 168 pcs is all available colors.
THE LOOK:
TOUCH NEW (TOUCH SIX)
Manufacturer: Doesn’t say - probably the same as touch five.
On the barrel it says “Touch new” but a lot of sellers also lists this as touch six.
The carry case it comes in is also branded “Touch”, so perhaps it is the same manufacturer.
This ones barrel is a lot more ‘oval’ rather than ‘squared’ like the touch five was. I would say the Touch news barrel looks a lot more like Copic sketch than Shinhan touch. It only differs by the caps (that are slightly square like) and the nibs: which is again bullet and chisel.
I can’t seem to find them in black, so I guess they gave up on the option for costumers to choose between a black or white barrel, which really doesn’t matter to me. This one only seem to be available in a white barrel, the colors however seem to be the same. A lot of ebay sellers uses the same 168 reference for the touch new as for the touch five. You can spot the difference on the barrel form: Oval vs. Square. In the picture above, you can see the barrel are square.
Many sellers qualify the ink as oily and alcohol based.
It doesn’t seem like it comes in sets like the Touch five, but rather in sets of quantity. I found a seller that sells sets in 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, 36, 49, 80 and 168 (yes in that order xD) but doesn’t specify which colors that are send with each set, aside from the 168.
Other sellers has the options: 30, 40, 60, 80, 168 which seems to be the standard.
The cheapest prices I found were:
30 pcs.: £19.99 ~ $28
40 pcs. £26.99 ~ $38
60 pcs.: £35.99 ~ $50.7
80 pcs.: £43.99 ~ $62
168 pcs.: £79.99 ~ $112.6
This is the picture used for the touch new 168 colors. Identical to the one used at touch five.
TOUCHLIIT
Manufacturer: Maieartart (www.maieart.com) AP. Origin: China
The website on the marker doesn’t actually work..
It has listed AP on it as well as the Touch five, so either it’s the same manufacturer but different distributors. I don’t know..
This is another cheap Shinhan Touch look-a-like.
These aren’t as widely offered as the touch five, which seems to be the easiest to find. The looks is very similar to the touch five, though it seems it doesn’t offer barrel color options, it seems to only be available in white.
A lot of sellers actually lists these as “ Color SET TOUCH LIIT 6 Alcohol Graphic Art Twin Tip General Pen Marker” so these touch knock-off markers are greatly associated with each other. And because the look so much alike, it usally isn’t till I actually look at the pictures that I can distingrush from one another.
These comes in sets like the TouchNew, though with a limited quantity on 80 pcs. They’re also available in 30 pcs., 60 pcs., and 80 pcs.
The prices on these are:
30 pcs.: £20.99 ~ $29.6
60 pcs.: £35.99 ~ $50.7
80 pcs.: £45.99 ~ $64.7
TOUCHFOUR 900 ART MARKERS
Manufacturer: Origin Australia
These are another knock-off marker, that actually looks like the ‘Mepxy’ marker, which is an American marker brand (I think xD)
Touch four are a little hard to come by, I didn’t get many hits when I searched for these on Ebay. Apparently it’s an Australian manufacturer.
These are listed at the same seller TOUCHFOUR on ebay. They have a chisel nip and a bullet nib. The barrels are in black and squared, the cab seems to have a sort of grib-pattern on them. They are available in 160 colors.
This is listed at one of their items:
TOUCHFOUR had just changed its branding to TOUCHNEW
You will be getting A COMBINATION OF TOUCHNEW AND TOUCHFOUR Markers in this 160 Colour Pack, all in different colours (They are not COPIC or ShinHan TOUCH markers)Just the printing (logo) on the markers is different, nothing else is changed. Please look at our reviews and buy with confidence : )
Be aware that it is not the same Touchnew that are listed above.
You can see on the picture below what the touchnew looks like:
These are the sets that they provide. Be aware that you may recieve a combination on both Touchfour and Touchnew. The prices are listed in AUD.
TOUCHMARK MARKER
Manufacturer: AP (?) Origin: Germany?
This is certainly not very easy to come by. The only Ebay seller providing these are from Italy, but the description of the marker in the pictures are in German..
The one seller that I found sells four different sets
- Standard 60 A
- Standard 60 B
- Architect
- Fashion
They’re listed as auctions, but the starting price seems to be £32 ~ $45
It looks a lot like the Touch three (The generation before Touch five) , just names “mark” instead of “three”.
COMBY MARKER
Manufacturer: STA - Origin Germany, located in China
Apparently STA is the manufacturer of both STA markers, stylefile markers and these. I can’t find anything to back up the fact the stylefile markers and comby markers should be manufactured at the STA company though. If you look at STA’s website, it doesn’t list it either, so I’m not sure.
STA has manufactured many different markers, and I would recommend go take a look on their website for their offers: http://www.sta.com.cn/en/products.asp?id=2
Anyway. This marker comes in 170 colors, it has a black squared barrel, and come in a chisel and bullet nib. The markers comes in sets of Standard: 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72, also in sets of industrial: 36, 48, 60, and 72.

KB MARKER/COMBY 802
Manufacturer KB/COMBY Origin China
Some seller listed this as KB and a bunch of other listed this as Comby 802.
I can’t find these on Ebay but they are on Aliexpress.
They kind of give off some sort of “antique” feeling, their barrel is very creme-ish. They sets they come in differs from seller to seller. One seller has a lot of 12 sets, others have quantity sets, and so on.
The picture listed below is from a quantity set orientated seller.
They come in 168 colors. A lot of sellers offer custom sets, where you can select whatever color you want.

FINECOLOUR
Manufacturer Origin
These has a couple of models: Sketch EF100, Sketch 2, EF101(Junior marker) and 201.
Apparently the EF100 has barrel similar to copic sketch, and are the brands first generation marker. It comes in a chisel and bullet nib.
Sketch 2 are their second generation marker, it comes in a round barrel, and looks like a mix of copic sketch and copic ciao. The barrel seems to be a bit larger than a ciao, but smaller than a sketch.
The 201 is a completely look-a-like to copic ciao. This one is however water-based. The EF101 also looks completely like the ciao and 201, though the EF101 is designed for younger artists, and has alcohol based ink.
So I’m sticking to write about EF100, EF101, and 2.
The EF100 comes in 240 colors, where as the newer model comes in 160.
