Equal Pay Bill clears the Colorado Senate, headed to the State House.
Opinion: Equal pay for equal work — make it happen now
I am excited that Senate Bill l9-085, the Equal Pay For Equal Work Act, cleared the Senate and is headed to the House. Fair pay for women is long, long overdue in Colorado and across our country. I, for one, am proud to see Colorado leading when the United States Congress won’t.
As I said in my opinion piece in The Colorado Sun, equal pay is not just about fairness. It’s about women having the option to leave a violent household. It’s about women having the resources to make choices that are right for them. It’s about safer homes. And yes, it’s about fairness.
Thank you, @jessiedanielson and @pettersen4co for bringing this Bill to the Colorado Legislature.
