There once was a young girl who thought this world to be too much. It was too loud, too fast, too angry, and often too sad. She would disappear for hours into daydreams and stories. She would wander through books and her own imagination, much like doorways into another world.
As we all do, eventually, she grew up.
And she had a very boring, very busy life, where no one appreciated or noticed her very much. And the world still felt too loud, too fast, too angry, and often too sad. She escaped into a good book or movie now and then, but she longed for the world's of her youth and all of their magic.
One day, at the ripe old age of 36, while walking to the woods behind her home, she realized something was different. The air hung heavy with mist. Fireflies twinkled and swirled in between the trees. She began to see the stories and worlds of her childhood come to life. As she pushed the branches away and went deeper into the Woods, she realized that the trees were a doorway to a magical realm, the place now known as the Copper Forrest.
