To Stay
For @copperkiddo! Happy birthday and forgive me for the delay! ; v ;
Here is a sweet, fluffy Solavellan piece for you! I used a general Lavellan so you will be able to imagine your own <3
“Here. All better.” Lavellan says softly as she wraps a clean bandage around Solas’ hand. He got hurt during the last fight against a group of Venatori and used all his mana to defend her and their companions and deal the last winning hits.
Since they don’t have any bottles of lyrium left, there is little he can do to regain his mana until they reach the nearest Inquisition camp... so more practical and simpler methods will have to be used to medicate his wounds.
Fortunately, Lavellan, Cole, and Varric aren’t that hurt; he got the majority of the bad wounds after the Venatori realized how good at casting spells he was and how well he was attacking them. So now he lies on the ground, covered in bruises and bloody cuts, waiting for the health potions to have effect.
Lavellan’s kisses are making him feel better more than those potions could, to be honest. She delicates taps his cuts with a piece of cloth dabbed into elfroot cream, then applies some drops of healing concoction, and finally wraps the bandages around whatever limb has been affected.
Then she kisses the bandaged wound and focuses on the next one.
Solas blushes hard, even though Varric and Cole have gone find more elfroot plants nearby and cannot see them. He basks in her attention and, for once, allows himself to be selfish.
“Does it hurt here?” she always asks and he always nods, even though most of the time the pain isn’t almost there anymore.
“Here too.” he says hoarsely, touching his cheek, and she gasps.
“Oh! Wait, let me put some elfroot balsam on it and...”
“I am sure a kiss would be much more efficient.”
Lavellan understands what he is trying to do and shoots him a pointed look. He smiles innocently at her and even has the nerve to briefly wiggle his eyebrows.
“Please?”
“Alright, but only because you asked so nicely and are in so much pain.”
“I am in terrible pain.” he mumbles as she leans down and presses her lips on his cheek with a giggle. “Just being too far from you causes me to feel it.”
“Mh. Are you sure it isn’t because you have bruises all over your body and lost a lot of blood?”
Solas sniffles indignantly and slightly turns his head so she can kiss his other cheek.
“Absolutely not. Such a preposterous insinuation.”
“Well, it’s good that I am so close to you right now then.” she smiles amusedly, quirking an eyebrow, then plants another peck on his other cheek, laughing when he quickly turns his head again to steal a full kiss.
“Quite good.” he agrees, closing briefly his eyes when she delicately caresses his face, mindful of his cuts.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always stay with you, vhenan.” she murmurs, nuzzling his face, and Solas thinks that if there is something in this world that can indeed help him and redeem him, it’s exactly that.
