THIS SONG IS SO GOOD I SWEAR. It's so fun-sounding to listen to, with the synthetic sound and all. Gumi is tuned AMAZINGLY, and I love hearing my favorite Vocaloid sounding not just good (like always 😊), but AMAZING!! Not only is the song amazingly produced, but the meaning of the song is also one that resonates with me personally. I've liked this song and related to this song for a long time, and it's a song that is extremely personal to me because I hold it dearly. I've struggled with issues dealt with in the lyrics.
For the majority of my life, I've been building a mask for myself and trying so hard to keep it up because I've been taught I'm a bad person for being myself. That sort of masking pushed onto you makes someone forget what type of person you truly are. For me, the mask also starts blending into my true personality and sometimes I feel like I'm trying to "not be weird" when I'm alone or I start acting like how people wouldn't want me to act when I'm trying to hide those parts. Even though I'm good at masking my true self, I can't control when that mask appears or not! Which can break relationships and make people simultaneously think I'm a "copycat" and a "weirdo" or whatever! And THAT is why this song means so much to me!!! Because it is very honestly an amazing and RELATABLE song!!!
I will defend this song with my life, no matter how "cringe" it is to like it! Who cares if this song is "forever" tied to animation memes and Gacha videos? That's honestly creative, and if it's at least well-made enough, BRING THE "CRINGEY" ANIMATIONS ON! I like hearing songs I like in the things people make!
