okay i wont post this on other socials where my bestie is checking what i post but she's like so hard to impress, while I'm like every little small thing makes me happy, especially if I'm obsessed with that thing. so i made her watch heated rivalry because I'm addicted to to this show (surprise) and i genuinely didn't think she'd like it. as i predicted she said it was okay, 'good when you dont have anything to watch'. i asked her about shane and ilya and connor and hudson and she only said connor is good actor, so i was like okay I'll take anything positive you say.
fast forward few days later, she sent so many heated rivalry related reels and posts and memes on every socials we're having, i have to hold my excitement and not lose my shit and not sent 100 more reels back AND not scare her bcoz she started to like it. yesterday we had this long ass convo about hudcons red carpet looks and photoshoot looks and everything they're wearing and then she asked me how was connors russian and i was like he's so fucking impressive, he's so talented, you should see him talking french (bcoz she hated shanes french in the show, she was so pissed at his pronunciation 😭) and oh boy she was stunned how good connor was, i took it as another win. now she discovered hudsons unmedicated adhd and that he's aquarius like her. today she sent me tweets that only deep in the fandom ppl will understand and again i have to hold myself from screaming. i also sent her riddle like post, it was saying shanes iconic lines from hospital when he asked ilya to come to his cottage and i really didn't think she'd guess that because she only watched this show once, so i said if you guess this I'll plant 10 trees in your honor.
so... moral of this story:
1. FRIENDS that let you spam them about your obsession even tho they don't care about that thing, but eventually gain so much knowledge and doing their own investigation and keeping up with you because they know it will make you happy, ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
2. now because of this little canadian gay hockey show ill be planting 10 trees and saving earth 🤓👆
