        it’d been a question of PATIENCE. one he hadn’t known he had until the time actually came to have it. scratch that, it was more like he was FORCED to be patient, not given any other chance to be anything but. recovering, while a pain in the ass for the two of them, was a process of time & no matter how much impatient he was, it didn’t affect the fact that he had to wait. 

        it’d taken so, so long to achieve this single feat-- sometimes it felt like it was all a dream, as if the bat’d DISAPPEAR again as soon as he looked away. so when news came that he’d awoken, who could blame him for wanting to stay glued to his side ?

        a roll of his eyes came with the others response, ❝ fuck, well excuse me for being so foolish. ❞ he’s grumpy, that’s for sure, yet still undeniably SATISFIED. compared to before, at least now he had someone to retort to, someone to argue with, someone to roll his eyes at. when the others eyes fall on him, he perks up slightly from where he was sitting crossed leg, not to far from the former quarta. FINALLY, a reaction ( it was small, sure, but it was something ). chin moves to rest on his palm, matching the other’s gaze with one of his own, ❝ try it. i wanna see. ❞
