i think the boycotting is kind of a twitter/tumblr-only thing? the theatre i went to last night was almost packed (and this in a small provincial town) and a good 80% of the audience was in their 50s or older and i am sure they have no idea about the discourse etc (and have all probably had relationships w/24yo at 17 or viceversa BECAUSE IT’S THAT COMMON HERE)

You don’t offend people! You spread no hate, no disrespect and no negativity - by stating your own opinion when it is not any of the above, you don’t offend. If someone gets offended, then maybe the problem lies in them - they cannot accept that different people have different opinions or they get offended by anything and everything solely to make a scene. I’ve met those people, and in that case, you’ll never do anything well. It’s okay, though, because this is your blog and your place to talk and people can unfollow you if they don’t agree...

that happened to me too today i was so angry

yeah i don’t get it?? tbh the theater also made a mistake by letting the lights go up during the credits, but even so, it’s pretty clear something is still happening?? why would you leave??? it pulled me out of the movie completely ugh
