Warning! This one might be lengthy! Soo, basically I'm always searching for exercises that work for me, I see people doing things in the gym that look like they would work and then I try it and I don't really get that ah-ha feeling. I wanted to find more weighted core workouts, which led me to these two. Last night I tried them out quickly, just a few reps, seemed easy so I thought okay I'll add weight to these... So today I pulled the benches up to the cables, my thought was weight versatility...but turns out I need practice without weights first! Partially because I am holding myself with my legs wrapped around the bench and secondly the bench is not tall enough to engage the cable from the start of the exercise. So I moved back to the open area with a plate weight. So my result was these two moves seriously work but not much weight is needed to start. I'll have to improve first. You may be thinking there are machines for this, but I really try to stay away from machines if I can do free weights instead! And I thought id be able to add weight as I normally do a cable crunch with 120+lbs and an oblique chop with 80+ lbs... Anywho, I'll be working further on these moves and using my tried and true moves as well, which I'll post next. Oh and the reason for weighted low back exercises is because after attending a posing seminar and feeling how sore I was after holding my hips up for an hour, I figure if I can strengthen that it'll get easier... #learningexperience #coreissues #doihaveabsyetlol #bikiniposingisaworkout
