Ren had been pacing for what felt like hours, glances thrown to his prisoner every so often to see if he was finally waking - honestly he wasn't sure what he intended on doing once that happened. He couldn't just keep him there forever.
Reasonably he should kill him as he was meant to, drive him through with his lightsaber to prove that he could indeed snuff out the light that persisted inside of him. It would be more easily done while he wasn't awake, no concern of seeing the betrayal in his father's eyes but he faltered every time he reached for his lightsaber, his hands trembling and frustration growing with each attempt.
He halted when he finally heard the man stirring, donning his mask to ensure his steeled demeanor couldn't be shaken by sentimentality. Ben was dead, he was Kylo Ren.
❝-- I almost thought you wouldn't wake.❞
The words were cold and impersonal, showing no concern for his father's wellbeing despite the fact that he'd certainly been given some basic medical treatment for his wound. Purely because the man could have useful information, or at least that was what he reasoned to himself.
