some test concepts for fic writin featuring me demon boy, a younger version of him, and first concept of siren cori before i found better hair for her lmao
22. Who are their friends? Lovers? ‘Type’ or ‘ideal’ partner?
Cori has been best friends with @certifiedsynthfucker’s Betty since college. They ended up meeting when Cori saw Betty streaking for the shiggles, I’m pretty sure, and they’ve been best friends since, and she eventually joins OW with her.
She gets along well with the rest of the recalled OW members–she probably bickers a bit about omnic rights with the ones that aren’t exactly fond of them, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Eventually, after ~shenanigans~, she gets with my dude Rein. 👀👀👀 It’s great, 4′10″ cutie and her giant 7′4″ boyfriend.
Her type is him, p much. Cori likes them big and tall. I made a joke that pretty much became part of her backstory that Cori found an OW Charity Pin-Up Calendar from their heyday 30-some-odd years ago in a thrift store when she was like, 15, and she saw the December page of Santa-hardt and thus started her big crush on the big guy. She is Grade-A Fucked™ when they begin working together, and Betty teases her a lot about it.
32. How does your character react to stress situations? Defensively? Aggressively? Evasively?
Cori just shuts down and shuts people out if she’s under a lot of stress. She usually wants to be alone, and obviously that doesn’t always work. When she was younger, she’d usually lash out, but she’s mellowed out as time went on. Now, she just goes outside and sits while watching the waves of Gibraltar. After an hour, she’s as okay as she’ll ever be.
41. Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?
Cori is self-confident and aware of her own shortcomings and strengths (definitely thanks to her grandparents, who had high expectations for her growing up). I just took a MBTI test for her and she’s an ENFP-T, apparently (for my own reference: extroverted, intuitive, feeling, prospecting, turbulent). Her strengths are creativity, enthusiasm, being observant, and communicating well with others–she’s a big theatre person. Weaknesses include overthinking a lot of things, lack of focus, stressing out very easily, and wanting to take things into her own hands and do it on her own–she does okay in a team environment, but sometimes she just wants to take charge. Some of her idiosyncrasies include going by the book constantly, multitasking, and having her mind in Musical Theatre mode, even after not being on stage for some time. I’d say she’s capable of self-irony, especially when regarding her love life and personal life. She knows that, even when things get too stressful, she can eventually step back, assess the situation, and eventually laugh at her behavior
