Do you have any idea why this clutch is wonky? Is it a combo of the parents, or is it caused by the sperm maybe being a holdover?
It's most likely that the sperm is held from last year. If you take a batch of gametes and put them in the living reptile equivalent of a chafing dish for 12 months, there's going to be some genetic degradation.
I was really hoping to see the result of an outcross with Apollo II, as Lumi's going on break next year and our next attempt will be 2023, but that's the way the genetic code crumbles!
Next year I'm going to pair Apollo II with Snikki to check for Amel and Hypo hets.
Oh hi there Linx :3
