Do you realize that no matter what corner of the world you’re in we all have obstacles to overcome, but that God is always with us.
Today I was listening to Hillary Scott’s song “Thy Will”…and what powerful words!
Thy Will…
I’m so confused
I know I heard you loud and clear
So, I followed through
Somehow I ended up here
I don’t wanna think
I may never understand
That my broken heart is a part of your plan
When I try to pray
All I’ve got is hurt and these four words
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
I know you’re good
But this don’t feel good right now
And I know you think
Of things I could never think about
It’s hard to count it all joy
Distracted by the noise
Just trying to make sense
Of all your promises
Sometimes I gotta stop
Remember that you’re God
And I am not
So
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will
I know you see me
I know you hear me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness you have in store
I know you hear me
I know you see me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Good news you have in store
So, thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
I know you see me
I know you hear me, Lord
Have you ever been tired of things just not working out? Well…that's how I felt today and then this song came on. We are not meant to go through life weary and tired…we are supposed to be a light. The problem is many of us try to fix things on our own and what I’m realizing is that we can’t.
So I just kept playing this song…over and over. I began singing these words…Thy Will Be Done. That doesn’t mean everything in my life was magically fixed, but it gave me peace. And in my opinion…that’s a start. I’m also so thankful that Hillary Scott allowed God to use her in writing and recording this song. You never know what God will do if you allow Him to work in your life!
I want to encourage you today to listen to this song…and I pray that it brings you peace and comfort in whatever corner of the world you may be in.
