“Seriously, what do you see in that guy?”
It's my 1 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
things I learned in 2015
1) failure isn't always what you think it is. not achieving a specific goal doesn't necessarily constitute a failure. 2) there are things not worth fighting for. you can't always have everything or everyone; you can't always be right. 3) there are many types of love, and distinguishing the differences means so much. 4) sleep changes everything. the difference between a 4 hour night and an 8 hour night is so magical you wouldn't believe it. 5) drinking enough water will actually transform you. 6) if something's wrong, say it. it's not mean to point out problems you're having and would actually save a lot of time and energy. 7) there is such a thing as intense loneliness among huge groups of people. it will pass. 8) working too hard will do more harm than good. it'll make you question what you're doing and why, and you'll hate a lot of things and lose your sense of purpose. 9) a solid group of friends will help you grow unapologetically and will mean the whole world to you. 10) understanding isn't a destination, it is a journey. it'll last your whole life.
I make a wish almost every night at 11:11
This is the first crush that I have had that is actually going somewhere First crush that called me beautiful and I had a full conversation with and everything (even tho I haven’t had a lot of crushes and all those other crushes were meaningless to me)
Oh my god, just got on tumblr for the first time since the Becoming YouTube drama over the weekend and I have SO many wonderful, thoughtful and incredibly generous messages. Thank you so much for the support of me, my inspiring friends and everyone taking a stance against all of the problems facing women and other oppressed groups both online and off. This weekend has been eye-opening in so many ways. Please, continue to keep the conversation going, make your voices heard and share content you love because those are some of the easiest ways to make sure this doesn't go away. Despite what is happening with the layout of the site, or what some guy who entered this community years after it started and thinks success is only measured by numbers has to say about it, the heart of the YouTube I joined almost seven years ago was about the sharing of ideas and discussing passions. Let's make equality, love and support for one another a passion, okay?
2013's Resolutions:
Treat myself better, which entails being healthier (i.e. eating better, drinking more water, and exercising more often), improving my self-esteem, doing more of what makes me happy, and etc.
Find something to be happy about in each day, which I'll do by filling an empty jar or box with good things from each day, every day of the year.
Be more open to taking risks and living each day to the fullest. Don't leave important things unsaid. Maybe fall in love again. Have a great time during my last semester as a high schooler and an even better time during my first semester in college. Laugh a lot. Smile a lot more. Cry when I have to. Learn to roll with the punches and just be.
