Russia claims world’s first Covid-19 vaccine. Here’s how it was tested on Volunteers

A Russian university has claimed the clinical trials of the world’s first vaccine against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on volunteers have been completed successfully. In a statement on its website, the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University said it began clinical trials of the vaccine against Sars-Cov-2, which causes the coronavirus disease, on June 18. The vaccine was produced by Russia’s Gamaleya Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, it said. The Russian ministry of health sanctioned the trial on June 16. The university has said the first group of volunteers would be discharged on Wednesday, July 15 and the second on July 20. Here’s how the clinical trials took place: * The first group of 18 healthy volunteers got vaccinated on June 18. * The second group of 20 volunteers received the vaccine on June 23 at the Practical Research Centre for Interventional Cardiovasology. * The volunteers were males and females within the age group of 18 to 65. * They receive a lyophilised vaccine or a powder from which a solution is prepared for intramuscular injection. * Some participants reported headaches and elevated body temperature, however, the university said these symptoms resolved completely within 24 hours after vaccine administration. * The participants have been kept in single or double wards on campus at Sechenov University. चैतन्य भारत न्यूज कोरोना वायरस के संक्रमण को फैलने से रोकने के लिए दुनियाभर के सभी देश कोशिशे कर रहे हैं और सभी लोगों से घरों में रहने की अपील कर रहे हैं। वैज्ञानिक भी कोरोना वायरस को खत्म करने के लिए कोशिशों में लगे हुए हैं। कोरोना टेस्टिंग के लिए वैज्ञानिक अलग-अलग प्रकार के तरीके खोजने में लगे हुए हैं। इसी बीच कुछ लोगों ने मिलकर एक ऐसे ऐप का निर्माण किया है जो सिर्फ व्यक्ति की आवाज का विश्लेषण कर बता देगा कि वह कोरोना का शिकार है या नहीं। आवाज का विश्लेषण करेगा ऐप कार्नेगी मेलन यूनिवर्सिटी और अन्य संस्थानों के शोधकर्ताओं की एक टीम ने कोरोना वायरस वॉयस डिटेक्टर नाम के एक ऐप का शुरुआती वर्जन लॉन्च किया है। यह ऐप यह निर्धारित कर सकता है कि क्या व्यक्ति को कोरोना वायरस है, वो भी सिर्फ व्यक्ति की अपनी आवाज का विश्लेषण करके यह काम कर सकता है। सस्ते और सटीक साधनों को विकसित करने में जुटे लोग बता दें इस समय ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोग कोरोना के शुरुआती लक्षणों का पता लगाने के लिए सस्ते और सटीक साधनों को विकसित करने की कोशिशों में जुटे हुए हैं। ऐसे में इस ऐप के निर्माताओं का मानना है कि सिर्फ फोन पर बोलकर कोरोना वायरस का पता लगाने से सस्ता और आसान कुछ भी नहीं हो सकता है। ऐसे काम करेगा ऐप जानकारी के मुताबिक, इस ऐप में लॉगिन करने के बाद व्यक्ति को तीन बार खांसने के लिए, एक वर्णमाला सुनाने और एक स्वर को जोर से बोलने के लिए कहा जाएगा। यह ऐप व्यक्ति के फेफड़ों की क्षमता को मापने में मदद करेगा। इस प्रक्रिया में कम से कम पांच मिनट का समय तो लगेगा और टेस्ट के अंत ने व्यक्ति को 1 से 10 के बीच अंक मिलेंगे। यह स्कोर ही बताएगा कि व्यक्ति की आवाज में कोरोना वायरस के संकेत है या नहीं। टेस्ट लेने से पहले भी व्यक्ति को अपने वजन और ऊंचाई के बारे में जानकारी देनी होगी। शोधकर्ताओं ने यह भी बहुत स्पष्ट  हालांकि, शोधकर्ताओं ने यह भी बहुत स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि ऐप निश्चित रूप से एक डायग्नोस्टिक सिस्टम नहीं है और इसलिए इसे मेडिकल लेबोरेटरी में आयोजित परीक्षणों के विकल्प के रूप में उपयोग नहीं किया जाना चाहिए। ऐप को प्रारंभिक तौर पर इस्तेमाल किया जाना चाहिए, जिसके बाद लोग डॉक्टर से परामर्श करें। Read the full article
