💔 BROKEN HEART — what are three of your oc's negative traits?

i strayed from the original question here because i was having fun LOL. i did "what Guy A thinks Guy B's worst traits are".

only 2 of the guys on this chart really fully hate each other (bariyan and khista). khista and bariyan are deeply estranged brothers, komini is khista's beloved son / bariyan's awkward nephew, bariyan and masarak are bf(f)s, corosa is some weirdo who just showed up one day and started causing trouble immediately

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

masarak was born ??? he has no idea. somewhere in the greater vako kheda area but he was abandoned as an infant on the temple steps in the holy necropolis/city (kharta). he assumes he was born in kharta proper rather than brought in from outside the city. if pressed it'd come out that his feelings towards the city are mostly negative. he feels detached from the people and society, resentful of how the temple raised him, and he's always had a yearning to just fuck off into the desert, but none of the fractured groups that live/travel the desert proper are accepting of outsiders and would never have him.

so he still lives in kharta up until his late ~20s when he abruptly vanishes and is thought dead. he returns about a decade later after having traveled the world alone for a while, and is disappointed to find that home is both exactly and nothing like how he remembers it

also it's weird that everyone's mad at him for disappearing. geez. cant a guy leave his house (for ten years after being part of an explosive mystery event where everyone including his bff thought he died)

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

despite other bodyguard-like behaviors, masarak doesn't like being at the front of everything and tends to position himself in the back/following. he wants to have eyes on everything and have nothing behind him. he's also a smoker and when he's not actively smoking he still looks for something else (sticks, stalks, bone, w/e) to chew on

bariyan has a bad sense of physical boundaries and is very touchy, though he'll generally back off if he's told or observes that it doesn't appear welcome. and they're both rude starers LOL masarak tries to be more sneaky about it, bariyan will just stare openly at anything/anyone

i only have one character that knows how to party, everyone else is a cranky 60yo grumbling on a front porch somewhere

also this was some practice to speed up my chibi drawings aka skip inking because i hate inking. always have always will
