Had a 15 minute discussion with the store manager of my local Walmart today. I don't usually bother reporting anything, but today there were 2 ESA in carts and an off leash large white dog wandering around the store and I didn't feel safe with my SD.

Turns out their corporate HR forbids anyone but management from even ASKING IF A DOG IS A SERVICE DOG.

And then they just have to accept it if a person says yes unless the animal is reported as being aggressive.

Their company HR decided this and passed it down as company law without consulting the company legal department. The MANAGER did not know there was the follow up question of "what work does the animal perform?" That they are LEGALLY ALLOWED TO ASK.

Corporate is so scared of getting sued by some Karen and her aggressive purse dog, that have disregarded federal and state laws, limited the legal power of their employees to question and remove problem dogs, and happily endanger disabled people to avoid a court case that the ADA would help them get tossed out anyway.

Walmart corporate needs to step the fuck up and actually follow the federal laws regarding public access for service animals.

The exits come as Boeing faces scrutiny of its safety practices and production after a door plug blew off a Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliner shortly after it took off from an airport in January, leaving the plane with a gaping hole in its fuselage midair. In a preliminary report issued earlier this month, the National Transportation Safety Board found that four bolts appeared to have been removed from the plane at Boeing’s factory in Washington and never replaced.

Calhoun spent the last several months working to convince investigators, regulators and airlines that Boeing can still build a quality airline amid reports of misdrilled holes on 737 fuselages and other quality issues. ▶︎ He had been chosen to head the company after a pair of deadly 737 Max crashes in 2018 and 2019 sparked a safety crisis.

It was not immediately clear who might replace Calhoun.

Pallets of baby formula arrive at Indianapolis International Airport Sunday morning from Europe –  Indianapolis Indiana reporting

INDIANAPOLIS — Federal authorities are on the ground at the Indianapolis International Airport awaiting the first overseas shipment of baby formula into the United States.

– A Nestle spokesman says some of the formula will be released for immediate within the next couple of days. The rest of the shipment will enter the supply chain after regular standard quality checks.

“We put on this plane everything we had,” said a Nestle spokesman. Today’s shipment represents 78,000 pounds of baby formula product.

They are first distributing to hospitals and health care facilities before showing up on grocery store shelves.

Later this week, we expect another 114 pallets.Families have been worried for weeks about a baby formula shortage that has left shelves empty and prompted families to pool resources in order to find it.

The shipment includes the equivalent of 1.5 million 8 oz. bottles of three different kinds of hypo-allergenic formula for children with cow’s milk protein allergy.
