She was grown on Earth during the rebellion, meant to be a sapphire to predict Rose Quartz’s attacks. She quickly realize she didn’t have future vision, instead having “present vision”: she can see anywhere in the universe as it is at the moment.
She spent her time watching Rose Quartz, seeing her fantasize about freedom on earth, and was swayed to the rebellion instantly. She fed Homeworld false information to protect the Crystal Gems until the day of the corruption. When Homeworld issued the retreat, she was swept up by one of her Agates and evacuated with them, escaping corruption but leaving the love of her life behind on earth as a monster.
