this on the other hand. well. it's An Idea alright. i hope you enjoy nonetheless!!

Masterlist | Small Drabbles
----------
The weight of the Master Sword is heavy in her shaking, frail hands. It’s hard to move. Every step she takes feels like another ten steps back. It feels like there are chains around her ankles and every step forward digs those iron balls deeper and deeper into the muddy ground. She thinks it might just open up and swallow her whole, and she would be alright with that. Her kingdom is nothing. She has nothing but this battered weapon, a show of the gods and their power–and what good is that power when it is dormant and a moment’s away from shattering?
To the Deku Tree, she thinks. I just have to get to the Deku Tree. I have to return the sword for him. He will come, and he will take up the sword again, and Hyrule will be saved.
But the he in question, her hero, the soul that had stood by her side for every lifetime they’d shared, is little more than a still body in a cold cave. That is where he would stay, whether the Shrine of Resurrection worked or not.
The mist that blanketed the Lost Woods would not relent. Not even with the sword that Seals the Darkness in her hands. There’s no chime now, not a sound, not even a sign that it had once spoken to her at all, and it’s this that makes her wonder if maybe Link really was dead. The heartbeat of the sword could not keep time with another that was in an eternal rest.
Congrats on 100 followers! Could you do a thing for #47?
47: “How many more innocent people have to die?”
WARNINGS: Manipulation, vague nudity, non descriptive sex, body horror(?), stabbing, and open end.
Part 1 | Part 2
Zelda had to get out of this. The longer she stayed there, the more she realized she couldn’t just pretend that everything was so hopeless that there was no point in trying. She couldn’t abandon her people- Link didn’t die for her to do that. Though every plan she thought of to do something about her captivity was riskier than the last. If she was the last thing standing between Hyrule and mass destruction, she had to try to find something that wouldn’t kill her.
First thing: She needed to recover the Master Sword. Which would be difficult because the demon was keeping the sword in his quarters and despite being allowed to wander through the fortress, though she hardly did, she imagined she wouldn’t be allowed into his room for no reason. How would she manage to retrieve the sword then? What would come next when she did manage it?
While she sat in ‘her quarters’ deliberating internally about her plan, she looked over as the door opened, the demon entering as he did just about once every day. Whether he was checking on her or just coming to taunt, Zelda had no idea, but she kept her face flat. Link’s skin had long since turned a deep shade of charcoal grey and his hair was entirely silver. If his face hadn’t been the same and she hadn’t witnessed the slow transformation into this new appearance, she wouldn’t have known it was her Link at all.
“What do you want?” Zelda bit out, looking back down at her hands resting on the empty table before her.
Congrats on the 100 followers! Can I request 27 for the prompts?
27: “Is the weight of it all finally too heavy?”
General trigger warning for veiled threats.
Part 2 | Part 3
Stones bit into Zelda’s hands and knees as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. She struggled to catch her breath. This wasn’t supposed to happen. How did this even happen??
When Link had left to defeat this creature, this entity- Demon, maybe- he’d promised her he’d come back. Weeks passed and there was no word from him, but there was still visible activity going on in the dark fortress Zelda was now in. She knew something bad had happened, though she didn’t want to admit it. She hadn’t the heart nor the stomach to admit that maybe, just maybe Link had failed. Nevertheless, it had been up to her to stop this twisted spirit with the Goddess given powers she had, but-
He had been waiting for her and she couldn’t bring herself to hurt him. The creature used his voice and the details he knew about her to its advantage and now she sat all but exhausted before it, waiting for the final blow that would end her and doom Hyrule to an oblivion of the demon’s making.
Puppet Link (A new Creepypasta? )
How many creepypastas start with some idiot buying a game from a garage sale and it turns out to be haunted or corrupted or just plain evil? I’ll tell you. Too damn many! You’ve heard of BEN DROWNED and Hell bell, and Herobrine, they’re pretty widely known. I used to think they were awesome stories made up by bored people on the internet. Now I’m not so sure.
I’ve been a Legend of Zelda fan since I first played Ocarina of Time when I was seven. When Twilight Princess came out on the gamecube and the wii, I was thrilled! At the time, I didn’t have the money to buy it, so my mom rented it for me. I didn’t get far. Fast forward a couple of years to now. It was garage sale time for our subdivision. I didn’t find much, as these stories seem to go, but I did find a guy selling video games that he didn’t want anymore. Now, the story mixes up here in the fact that I did know this guy, and had for several years. No need to be wary right? I bought Super mario galaxy, a harvest moon game and, the prize of the day, Twilight princess for the Wii. I couldn’t get home fast enough to suit me. Now, the case looked great, the booklet was still intact and the disk was flawless. There was no weird startup screen, not little glitches. Nothing to indicate anything was wrong with the Twilight Princess disk and game. It seemed like a nice, normal game to me. Yikes, I was wrong. Like I said, the game seemed pretty normal, although I noticed that the monsters seemed to...Shy away from me, I guess? Yeah, they’d attack me, but it was after what seemed like hesitation. This didn’t apply to Skullkid’s little puppets in the lost woods, or the Gorons on Death mountain, and Ook was unaffected too. The normal monsters though. They seemed afraid to kill me. What’s more, the bosses seemed to be trying to imobilize me more than end my life. Diababa grew vines from the ground to snare me. Stallord summoned skeletal hands to snare the spinner and grab my legs. Armaghoma spat sticky webbing and Argorok tried to grab me in his claws. I had to shake the wiimote and nunchuk to get free, like in Skyward sword to get free of the chus. I didn’t remember this from the gamecube version, but maybe this was nintendo showing off what they could do? Ok, I could accept that. What really bugged me was when I got to Zant for the first time. In addition to his normal attacks, he would summon that wallmaster thing and if it grabbed me, it would slowly sink into a portal in the ground. Again, shaking the wiimote and nunchuck was needed, and if I wasn’t fast enough, Link let out a terrified scream, and the sound from Ocarina of time, when you fell into a bottomless pit, played. Ok.THAT was freaky. But this whole game was a bit creepy and scary and I loved it, and I chalked all these new things to ‘Hey, Nintendo is showing off it’s stuff. Sweet!” I think back on that and cringe. Now I had never beaten the game myself, but I DID watch playthroughs. I knew how this game was SUPPOSED to end. I was looking forward to the battle with beast Ganon. I never got it.
Hyrule castle was a kickass dungeon. I can’t tell you how many times I died to the darknuts nd had to shut off the game from frustration. Getting that boss key and opening that last door sent shivers down my spine.Only one more battle till the beast. let’s do this! Link opened the door and stepped in and the small cutscene outside showed the tower. I ran up and entered the dark hallway. Link and Minda walked down the blue carpet towards the throne. A statue’s head lay on the floor. A gasp left both hero and companion as they saw the beloved princess suspended in mid-air between the golden triangles of the statue. Link was about to run to her, but Midna stopped him, and Link noticed ganondorf on the Hylian Princess’ throne. The cutscene went as normal, with Midna floating up to shield Zelda and Ganondorf following upwards as a cloud of Twilight... Sunnenly, he shot back downwards, not towards Zelda, but at Link. What?! That’s not how that was supposed to go! I watched in mixed fascination and disbelief as Link let out an agonized scream, dropping sword and shield as he fell to his knees and clutched his chest. I could see the color draining from his face nowthough the tears welling up in my eyes. No no no, Link wasn’t supposed to be the puppet! But here he was, those sickening black cracks of what I could only guess to be Twili or dark magic streaking down his face. Now Midna let out a little cry and zipped down to her friend, putting her little hands on his cheeks. “Link!?” Suddenly, just as Zelda’s were supposed to, Link’s eyes shot open, and Midna was thrown against the wall and surrounded by the same little prisons the shadowbeasts used. No matter how she beat her fists upon it, or tried to float out of it, it wouldn’t budge. Ganondorf’s laugh echoed as it would have while he was in Zelda’s body, Link’s now venom-green eyes glinting with glee, but I could tell, that wasn’t Link’s doing.
Now the chuckle sounded Like Link as he walked up to the prison, boots tapping gently against the marble floor. “As much amusement as I would have had, pitting this pitiful hero against his precious princess, I think I’ll save myself the trouble and cut out the middle. As resourceful as the boy is, I cannot trust anything but my own sword against his.. Speaking of. “ HE turned and kicked the blade away with Link’s boot, smirking. “The corruption is already spreading through his heart.” He continued.”And soon, he will no longer be able to resist my commands.” Link turned and walked back down the stairs to the doorway,Zelda floating behind him. “...Thank you, Twilight Princess.” With that, the screen faded black, leaving me speechless and shocked. What the HELL was that? Oh I was SO having a talk with my neighbor the next day. And I did, actually. No he didn’t suddenly die or move away. I brought the game with me and made him put it in the wii and pick up where I had last saved... But the game played normally. Nothing I said would convince him that it was anything other than a normal game and that I had dreamt it all up. Had I? That would be an awfully vivid dream, and to remember it in such detail? No, now i was convinced it was my Wii, so I played it again. it happened again, So I invited my neighbor over to see. Maybe it was my system? But whenhe arrieved it played normally. I didn’t try again for another two weeks, and when it happened once more, I left my system ON and called him, but when i came back, the screen read ‘disk read error’ ...I thought that was a PS2 thing? Once again though, it only happened when I was alone. My cats didn’t seem to countas other people, but they freaked the hell out when it happened and ran from the room. Any attempts to record it went corrupted. Gods, I wish I had proof, just to prove to myself that I’m not crazy! What else am I to think though? I all honesty, though, it makes for a good story, so maybe I can pass this off as a creepypasta or something.
