Corruptionauts AU!!

My take on a "Villain AU" for Psychonauts. The eponymous organization isn't overtly villainous, but takes a far greater interest in "changing the world" - be it for their own benefit or that of those willing to fund them.

The primary plotline I have for this AU is one in which the Aquato Family Circus gets delayed in a town where the Psychonauts are running an investigation. Raz, inspired by tales he's read, tries to look for answers on his own...

This doesn't go so well for him.

Then again, they certainly have their own adventures, free from any meddling circus-acrobats-turned-amateur-psychic-sleuths.

Some more fun facts about the AU:

Camilla never started going by a nickname. She's not as close with Sasha.

There is still sashamilla in this AU however. they're just evil and rather toxic about it.

Oleander has a much higher status in this AU, for pretty much the exact reasons he was doing so badly in canon. He might be the one person having a better time in this AU. Sort of.

Raz latched onto Camilla a lot harder than Sasha as a result of the latter having much less exposure in the media. And because Camilla is cool.

Related: Raz tries to be smooth-talking and persuasive when he can't rely on stealth or psychic shenanigans. He's not great at it.

Sasha wears that lab visor thing more often than his actual glasses that he probably still has somewhere.

The clearance system does NOT correspond to the visual light spectrum, but heliotrope is still a considerably higher clearance than vermillion. The actual lowest clearance is aquamarine.

a solid 40+ percent of this AU is me shaking Camilla Vodello in a jar. She is not well.

Sasha's blastokinesis leans less toward the precise, high-powered shots of canon!sasha and more toward making things explode.

More of a studio than a party

Drawn a while before the more recent pieces. I sadly haven't been in much of an artistic mood for a hot minute.

I do have ideas for Camilla's mental world in the AU. Surely none of which will be concerning.
