Glad you made it okay. That is the absolute worst feeling, though. :( I once blew out a tire on the New Jersey turnpike just before New York. Ended up having to drive into Manhattan (and then all the way back to Philly) on my little donut tire with everyone honking at me because of how slow I was going, and I have rarely been more terrified in my life.
I got really lucky yesterday and today, but it’s looking like it’ll be replaced tomorrow, so until then I’m going to load up on tea and try to breathe easy. I've had flats before, but after having the front one on the passenger side blow out on the highway, I’ve been unable to deal with high winds or any change to the car that results in it pulling to the right. It makes me feel like the whole thing’s falling apart around me, and you’re so right. It’s the worst, and you have no choice but to see how long you can deal with it until you’re either where you need to be, or left pulling over at a nearby stop.
Oh my goodness, no. I’m so sorry. Having to face that kind of response after having the tire go, and then having to change it is just the cherry on top of the sundae of awful.

That sucks! Glad it seems like you made it okay though.
I was really lucky, especially after catching the bubble on the old tire the night before. It was flat by the time I got home. D:
It wasn’t so bad to drive on once the day moved into the afternoon, but early Thursdays when I’m on my way to work, I’m already a small ball of nerves, and pairing tire/car problems with that’s a recipe for disaster. Still, I was so darn lucky. That could’ve been a potential blow out or worse.
