Jade is accustomed to having a customer sprawled over his counter for varying reasons after closing hours. Sometimes, when he is in the mood, he lets them. The sound of flowing waters fills the empty space in Mostro Lounge, creating an illusionary fantasy of one walking and breathing underwater as realistically as possible. Jade's attempt at small talk has ostensibly hit a sore spot, but he doesn't shy away from his responsibilities. "I suppose I am." he chuckles in response to being called rude, "My apologies."

He knows, of course, that it's a lie. Rumours were almost as indispensable as Magicam gossip. He'd diligently kept tabs on every student on campus without fail, taking notes on every minor detail revolving around their daily lives. Knowing everything was impossible, but Jade certainly knows more than he claims. "You say you are not in a predicament, I trust you, and I am glad." He says, not seeing the point in exposing Wuya's lie for now. He himself was plagued with an entirely different situation, an inability to feel anything deeper than the shallow friendships he's made on campus. As he broods alone, a ring comes from the oven at his back and he turns around, shoving his hands into a pair of mittens he takes a plate of stir-fried lemon chicken out from the oven.

He sets the dish between the both of them, letting its aroma fill the air as he grins at the fae, knowing what it's doing to him. "Is a carefully prepared dinner recompense enough for my blunder?"

❛ Oh? Well if you were just dying for it, you could have asked. ❜ Orochi's elbow hooks loosely around Wuya's neck to hold him there, cradled uncharacteristically gently in his grasp. Posture lax, head lolled slightly, torso turned and leaning, he flashes a toothy smile: razor-sharp tips are masked by friendly blushing lips, innocent and sweet. ❛ I'm rather good at granting wishes. ❜

          The sudden weight on her shoulder takes the girl by surprise but she doesn't react beyond just studying the raven and its odd but seemingly calculated movements. She doesn't like how its aiming its beak between strands of her hair, but before she could reach up to gently remove the raven from her shoulder she feels a tug and reacts accordingly "Ow! What-?!" After her initial yelp she huffs and reaches up to wrap her hands around the raven's body, but misses as it seems to sense what she's about to do and makes it harder for her to do so.

          Moments later, it leaves as quickly as it came; its cry almost signaling its departure.

          "What in the world...?" She huffs, before carefully stroking haphazard strands of hair back into place. Is it just her or did the raven speak her name? The voice sounded... slightly familiar too. Hmm.

          Well- back to work. Before the bird's arrival, she had been carefully tending to setting up a new piece of land in the dorm. It's small but big enough for any students to try their hand at experimenting with new plant species.

          Just before she calls it a day and heads back she reaches into her pocket for her phone but finds something else nestled next to it.

          "This wasn't here before." She murmurs before finding the tag on the bag. "Ah." That made sense and she lets out a little laugh before looking inside to find the seeds. "Ooh! Looks like I'm going to need a new flower pot." She seems almost all too happy for this gift, but it works out since there was a new flower pot on sale online that she wanted to buy anyway.

          Hmm... how many lemon drops does she have anyway? She'll have to check.

"A kiss as payment?" Jade lifts a brow. It's true he'd cooked more than just a few dishes for Wuya over the course of a few weeks for free since the raven first tried to fly him, but he'd done it out of his own violation and Jade doesn't think Wuya owes him anything.

Much less than a kiss; while humans are odd creatures who would cast it away upon the first opportunity they got, Jade can be quite superstitious at times. Growing up with stories of the Mermaid Princess and how a first kiss had relieved her of all her troubles, Jade was led to believe that it was something magical. He had not kissed anyone despite what rumours might suggest, and he did not wish to give it away now.

"You don't owe me anything." He calmly says.

But Wuya wouldn't take no for an answer. Jade's eyes widen as the raven climbs up the table, looking ready to pounce. Jade was tall enough that even if the raven had tiptoed he would not be able to reach his lips, but it was quite doable when he's perched on the table like that.

Wuya was quick, but Jade had been quicker; pressing three fingers on his lips just before their lips clash. He could feel the warmth of the raven's lips on his skin, and some part of his mind imagined what it would feel like if they had really kissed.

He steps away, heart racing and cheeks slightly flushed. But it's only a brief moment before he resumes his usual calm state. "I assume we don't owe each other anything now." He says, pushing any irrelevant thoughts to the back of his head.
