i mean, some ppl might get angry, but also crosses have been used for pure #aesthetic reasons for a while, and it's not like christians don't misuse other religions' symbols just bc they like the look of them. i say knock yourself out

My mom grew up in the 80s and she had a cross necklace because. I mean. It was the 80s. Everyone was wearing crosses and ankhs.

I especially love all the American Christians I know claiming “These designs are from the Roman empire!! We made them!!!!” and all the Irish and Scottish and Welsh people raising their hands saying “Uh... no you didn’t. Those designs are Celtic. We’ve had them since before Christ.”

Of course, I live in a HEAVILY Polish-founded area so there’s not so many Celtic designs. But there ARE some truly beautiful churches, usually really old ones, with pretty windows and stonework.

I miss stone churches. :( When I lived downtown there were lots of little stone churches, old ones with flowerbeds and stained glass windows and bell towers. Now they all look like government buildings or dentist’s offices or schools. Real downgrade.

(New headcanon, Aziraphale is seriously disappointed in “modern” churches and if he has to go to one he always chooses an old one steeped in history and prayer and belief.)

if you could have any view from your bedroom window what would you choose? something like a park or a forest or something peaceful like that what’s your favorite thing to do on a sunny day? sitting outside but in the shade what do you consider lucky? i don’t really believe in luck. i think sometimes things just work out nicely, and other times they don’t. what made you smile today? i just watched hannah gadsby’s new netflix special and i got a few laughs and several smiles from it what makes you happy? just off the top of my head: watching/reading/listening to something funny, feeling genuinely liked and appreciated, going to bed after a long day, and petting dogs
