September 27, 2025 - Large-billed Crow (Corvus macrorhynchos) Found across much of Asia, these crows live in forests, woodlands, wetlands, and rural and urban areas. Foraging in pairs or family groups, they are omnivorous, eating a wide variety of plant and animal foods, including carrion, small vertebrates, invertebrates, fruit, grains, nectar, and flower petals. Pairs build platform nests from twigs and sticks with inner cups lined with soft materials, including wool and hair in tree forks or palm crowns. Females lay clutches of three to six eggs and do most of the incubation. Both parents feed the chicks.
