Unfortunately, if anything her magic trying to aid the girl worsened the situation as Amity felt a brief halt—only for gravity to take hold, and with the momentum it was given, slingshot the poor girl into the dirt.

Amity was a strong and prideful teenager, hiding tears and terrified of showing them outside the privacy of her room…but the unfortunate events she’d endured coupled with the trauma to her ribs was enough to bring forth a strangled sob as she only felt herself stumble trying to stand. “A-ah!”
