(/RP) For Cory, you, and my lore, how would Moth react to the love bites (that’s what I’m calling the little bites Z does to Cory now if cc!Cory is okay with it, wheeze)?

Dunno if you’d come in before or after Z and Cory have a talk about the whole nibbling thing, so do a reaction based off of both. (Before they talk about Cory being nervous of the whole thing, Cory tends to run off, but afterward (I think) they tend to be mildly okay with it.)

Moth at first would get worried, panicked and angry at seeing Z trying to eat Cory but would come down seeing Z was just giving love bites/nibbles (she and the moth would sometimes do the same thing).

When Cory would run away Moth would follow in the shadows to make sure they were safe, and have the moths stay behind and keep an eye on Z.

After Z and Cory would talk out the love bites and stuff, Moth would be happy seeing her soon-to-be-siblings getting along. She would hang around bringing food, supplies and flowers and lights that she would find. They would still be hidden scared that they would scare away their family.

Cory only thinks that people are happy when she’s bringing them money because of a human that used her as a show animal for a very long time. She was the “rabbit in the hat” for a con-artist that bought her as a child. He trained her to do “tricks” and had her steal people’s money during his shows.

Afterward she’d go back into a cage to wait for the next time she was needed. Eventually she was caught stealing from someone, and not wanting to be associated with her, her human owner left her behind.

Now she doesn’t know how to borrow normally and only knows how to pickpocket…this leads to getting caught very often and is why she’s so violent (cough cough knowing how to start fires at a moments notice)

More cory lore because…I can! :D

Cory is a species of garden borrower which are small humanoids that live around/outside of homes instead of inside them. This means they can grow a few inches taller than regular borrowers, but it also means they need to be able to survive harsh weather.

Because of this Cory’s hair is extremely thick and if she left it completely down she could almost use it as a blanket. She also has fur on her hands and legs for warmth. Then for protection (since there’s a lot more wildlife to sell with outdoors) she has longer ears, sharp teeth, and claws.

The rabbit-like appearance has to do with the species she is specifically. There are some garden borrowers that eat bugs or even bird eggs, but her species primarily eats plants. To hide better from people outside she has rabbit-like ears so that if anyone saw them through the leaves they wouldn’t think much of it. Also it prevents gardeners from thinking they have a bigger issue when a few crops go missing.

Family-wise garden borrowers don’t stick together long and prefer to be independent. Because of this even though Cory has kids she’s not the best parent since she always wants to be out of the house pickpocketing/stealing crops.

She’s also pretty touch-adverse both because of her biology and her upbringing as a pet. She was manhandled a lot under the street performer’s care, so she tends to avoid being held or touched by people she doesn’t trust

Since Cory later on would allow Z to nibble on their arm, how would she react to 1) being shoved into the mouth (still somehow being shoved through the mask like the rest of the food-) and 2) actually being nomfed?

(I would say the situation would be pretty fast paced, maybe when Z is protecting them from a human / human-sized person)

Also, did we ever say that "Crime Duo" would be our name/thing? I just feel like it fits lore-wise bgskdfj :]

I don’t even think Cory would process what happened at all until after she’d been swallowed. Even when she got shoved into Z’s mouth, it was like she was dreaming. She just kind of went limp- not sure how to react or what was going on. And depending on how fast it happened i don’t think that Cory would even process that she was actually in Z’s mouth. The last thing she knew was some human was yelling at her before she was sent into darkness

Once she felt Z actually try to swallow her though it was like her mind went into overdrive. She tried to pry herself out of her friend’s throat but there wasn’t much she could do to stop her descent. And when she finally got to Z’s (stomach? Storage Organ?? I don’t know what you have for your character oOP) she just curled up and cried. She felt so betrayed because as far as she was aware she was going to die there; although once Z explained it (I don’t know how that would go since Z’s not very vocal and they wouldn’t be able to sign) Cory felt a little better. She still hated being swallowed and how powerless she felt, but being safe inside Z wasn’t the worst

Death Lore! :D

Death is a sizeshifter who was born a borrower and lost their parents to a gopher attack. Death tried to use their powers to save them but in the end it didn't work out.

While Death could've used their powers to pretend to be a human child they instead decided to find a new house to live in and eventually found this one with all the borrowers and one good mom.

Death is not gonna let anyone else get hurt while they stand and watch. If anyone tries to hurt their family again, Death will make sure to give them the same treatment the human (or whatever) gives to their family (which may include kindness depending on the situation)

At first c!Cory would be afraid since they didn’t know c!z well, and their face looks like theyre ready for murder. Especially considering how quiet z is cory would have a hard time telling whether or not theyre actually angry.

After they become closer though cory thinks it’s really funny. She knows that z won’t hurt her even though they look so angry, and she makes jokes about it a lot. Sometimes when Z isn’t paying attention Cory will mimic Z’s rbf until they notice
