[ He had checked off everything on the to-do list; the quick run with Looey, Pebble, and Astro, come back and get the kitchen ready to bake in, then get Sprout to come and make some sweets together! So many cool recipes he had found, and barely any time to execute on them. But today was the day. And yet, his baking partner was nowhere to be found! Must have overslept or gotten sucked into a certain album.. Maybe he could ask about that once he found them.
[ Speaking of. Weaving through the many halls and finding his way to the outside of Sprout's room. He didn't usually come up here- mostly because the strawberry preferred to be as far away from the other mains as possible. But.. Looking further, he saw something dripping from under his doorway. A disgusting black substance, sticking to the edge of his feet when he stepped anywhere near it. ]
[ Soon after that discovery, he could hear something choking out sobs and whines. That had to be... Sprout. ]

He looked under his food at the stain, eugh, it was almost hard to unstick it from the floor. He knocked a bit.
'Sproutsy..? Are ya there..?'
No response. A bit worrying, truly. Then he heard the whining. The sobbing, the borderline choking in there, and he tensed like he was anxious.
'I- I'm coming in, ok sugar?'
A single sigh, and he fully stepped into the viscous stain, opening the door. It clung to his socks in a way he wasn't sure if he would ever get it off but who really cares.
The room was... Dead dark. Cosmo couldn't see anything, but he could hear the whines a bit clearer. The furthest corner of Sprout's room. He took a few steps forward.
'Sprout, where are y- ACK-'
He tripped over something. Long, weirdly soft like a fabric, and goopy at it's edge, ending in a point. (Well at least that's what he gathered from what he fell on). He could see a shadow, one that was familiar but his brain didn't fully recognize as Sprout's. But the pained little noises came from it.
'Hhey... Are you ok..?'

HI KAI god what hcs DONT i have for Hermie. first of all i am the world's foremost trans guy Hermie truther but thats not a new revelation. i think probably my favorite hc is that he is utterly terrible at cooking but refuses to accept this fact and acts like he's god's gift to the culinary world. im also quite fond of the idea that he loves being flirty with Normal until Normal flirts back and then he can NOT handle it and gets flustered as all hell <333 i love my loser idiot son
in a similar vein i LOVE writing him flustered or deeply head-over-heels for Normal 🥰🥰 but its also so delightful to write about him being a little shit who causes problems on purpose. whenever he pulls some "if youre suggesting........ that i would want to.......... 'hang out'..... with a man who refuses to take off a...... Mascot Costume......" bullshit its SO fun and fairly easy to write. in a similar token as much as i love him being sweet and genuine it always feels SO hard to do without feeling ooc 😭😭😭 theres so little true genuine Hermie in the podcast that i kinda gotta make it all up
