So uh Cos&Effect was literally the best time of my life. People who went there should message me. Odds are I saw you cause I went for like the whole day all 3 days and I like meeting people like me so ya do dat shit <3

Hey, is Vanstuck going to Cos & Effect? I wanted to go to FanExpo but I couldn't get a ticket and I'd love to meet up with other Homestucks in my area.

There will of course be Vanstucks at Cos & Effect! C&E was Vanstuck’s birthplace, in a manner of speaking, so we tend to go a little overboard in terms of making it a great con for Vanstucks (and the whole Homestuck community, of course).

There will definitely be a big photoshoot on Saturday, since that’s the biggest day of the con, and there will be a photoshoot and picnic on the Sunday - bring a bag of chips to share, bring a sketchbook, just bring yourself - so the Homestucks can hang out and get to know each other. There may also be a photoshoot on Friday, but this would be smaller than the Saturday shoot because the con starts later on Friday and many people will still be arriving.

In addition to the photoshoot, we are also planning on having at least one Homestuck-related panel at Cos & Effect. More info on that soon! We’re also in talks with the con organisers regarding possibly having a room set aside just for Homestucks to congregate and mingle. If you’re a Vanstuck member on Facebook, look for C&E events to start popping up there in the near future. If not, watch this space - once the events are made we’ll be transferring the relevant information to this Tumblr as well.

C&E is shaping up to be a great con. Hopefully we’ll see you there! :)-Jack

Thank you for the reminder... I'll be honest about what happened - I was working on photoshop after the last update to cover all the faces (I was originally drawing cute faces over everyone) and then photoshop decided to close and restart without saving anything. At that point, I was frustrated and was going to come back to it later but with my job and other commitments it ended up being put on a back-burner. My apologies!

I was explaining how I'm going to make those mansexy clothes to a buddy of mine and, now that I keep thinking about it, I'm actually really excited. I know how I'm going to start, I know where I can get some patterns for the bits that I'll have to modify the patterns of and I know it will look ridiculously awesome in the end. I'll probably just wear them to costume events, sexy events (Sin City, burlesque things) and Cos&Effect because I can't think of any other time and place they'd be appropriate or applicable.

Note that this would be maybe four days out of the year. If not less. Most likely less.

Regardless, I just love the concept, I love the nerdism, I love the aesthetic, the designing, the creation and I'm probably going to love wearing it (once it stops feeling awkward). Just like I love men's corsets but am disheartened I see so little of it. I think men should have just the same sorts of sexy as women. A woman in a corset should be considered next to a man in a corset, a woman in lingerie next to a man in fancy man-underwear. As opposed to, say, a shirtless dude in low riding jeans.

Seriously, they are not nearly the same thing. Smash the patriarchy.
