Question for the guy behind account: Is it normal that one of your horns is broken and bleeding?
I know that this is probably a strange ask to receive and it probably brings up an unpleasant topic, but I just wanna let you know that I really appreciate your written criticisms about Skylanders in terms of caricatures
I also admire that you have the capacity to have Nightfall be your favorite character while still having major criticisms about her writing and characterization
Skylanders has been a game that I've loved since I was a lil kid when it first came out, and throughout my life it'd be one of those things I'd go back to occasionally because of it's comfort for me
I only recently realized that some characters are portrayed and designed in really questionable ways at best (Voodood, Double Trouble etc,.) And that's something I've been unpacking for the last few days and trying to educate myself on, and your posts about Nightfall have helped quite a bit with that
And again, I admire that you hold no stops on the racism of the writing while still enjoying the funner parts of the game/characters, I find that to be very mature and kinda hard to find in some fandom spaces
I dunno how I come across but I hope I'm properly expressing my gratitude and respect /gen
@blooddusken
I don't find this an awkward ask at all, and I'm glad!
You're the second person in this fandom who has told me I've helped them realize some of the problems with Skylanders, so I don't feel like I'm talking to a wall here...
Same, Skylanders was one of those things I had growing up. It was kind of a tradition, especially on holiday family reunions. But as I grew up and got educated, at college and listening to other marginalized people, I could always go to Skylanders as an easy reference on Racial Stereotyping/ Caricatures. Ouch.
I can easily hold space for gratefulness and grief in the same place, so when I say I both like and resent Skylanders, both things are true... Some people don't have that skill. It's why I try to not seek out interactions with other fans, some want it to be a "safe space" at the cost of othering indigenous people and people of color & enabling racism.
You know how tiring it gets to have to make yourself a space, probably just an obscure corner, because a lot of people in there don't want to use their critical thinking (being "mature")? If it was normal to do so, I'd probably have more friends here. Anyways... I didn't come here to make friends, I came here to force people to look at Nightfall differently and spread Caribbean indigenous propaganda. When I said I'd be "the most annoying Nightfall fan" back in 2020, it may be true. Lmao!
Besides that, it does feel good to be acknowledged and appreciated, so thank you for reading my posts and for telling me this <3
What's Natasha age?
In the MCU Natasha is born December 3, 1984 so she would’ve been 26ish in Iron Man 2.
In the comics her birthday ranges I believe from late 1920s to 1940s so it depends!
Can you screenshot some of the asks u agree with?? I’m curious to know lol
I like to remain neutral on here so no one can accuse me of being bias and just in general I don’t really have a strong opinion on things. Not to mention there have been so many confessions and opinions I don’t remember half of them and I don’t want to go through my whole blog
but on some more recent discussions (or from things I remember) I also don’t really like how many of the girls are made BAMF or personality changed just to make them more “likeable”. Most are fine as they are it’s just many (including amano herself at times) are bad at utilizing them. I am also in an infinite confusion over over tropes like flame harmonization, how people are always changing/writing Skull, and the popularities of crossovers (specially Harry Potter ones). Those are all the opinions I remember at the moment and that I feel comfortable sharing
Hi!! I hope everyone has been having a good week! I've been following this blog for a really long time, pretty much since I got into K-pop as a shawol years ago. I'm a student anthropologist currently taking a sociocultural anthro course and am doing research on the culture of Tumblr. May I ask, what are your thoughts on Tumblr and the Tumblr K-pop community? Thank you!!
Ok *clears throat* (get ready for a long post.) In this essay I will...
This is a loaded question lol! As someone who studies socio-cultural psychology, there is a lot to unpack. In a nut shell I'd say that there are many things that still need to be addressed on this site. Things like the obvious hate culture, racist culture, the child p*rnagraphy, the obsessive culture, anti-women, and the anti-lgtb just to name a few. I know you find that through out the internet as a whole, but this space could be made safer than what it is. This site wants to act like it is watching for "hurtful" things that they deem intolerable, but they miss the mark so much that they are tagging innocent people's blogs and ignoring blatant nastiness on others. But I still say it's better than the bird app lol! If used as intended, it's a good place for people to make and personalize their own space to create, find people who are interested in the same things or just want a more laid back feel.
The Kpop community has its ups and downs too, just like any other fan based community. When people just come together to appreciate good music and have fun interactions with each other and the idols, the Tumblr Kpop community is a lot of fun. Of course we know that people are going to be people. The problem for me is the anit-black and obsessive nature of it. Also the fans who get mad at other fans who really don't want to make Kpop a full time job. Or the ones who want to put down other groups to try bring attention to their own favs. Or those who try to sweep their problematic idols behavior under the rug or make excuses for them, the age judgment and I can't tell you the amount of backlash I have received because I don't deal with shipping. So yeah tumblr Kpop has its issues. But to me, it's still better than the toxicity, and cancel culture you find on the bird app.
Could it be better, yes. They really need to address more issues than what I have listed. We would be here for days if I went in deep. I hope I have answered your question in some small part. If you don't mind, I will open this up to everyone else who may be able to cover more than I have, or go more in depth to the topics I have brought up. Thank you so much for your ask! I enjoyed it!
-Admin Sam
Admin here: of course it doesn't!
I'd like to say that it was just a joke, a meme, because incorrect!Oz is vain, self-absorbed and, to put it frankly, incredibly dumb.
But I'm sorry if that post offended you! It wasn't a moral stance on the admin's part. I'll avoid posts like this in the future.
How are you doing?
I’m doing alright, anon, thanks for asking! Just on the mend from what I’m pretty sure was the flu, but I’m surviving, so I won’t complain.
What about you, anon? I hope you’re doing well!
Whats your opinion on MINT IVORY's mother radiance AU?
((I actually never heard about it? ))
