Architect Paolo Soleri’s home Cosanti complex in Scottsdale, AZ
Cosanti, Paolo Soleri's home and studio, Scottsdale, Arizona. 📷 @freemanstudio from Artists' Handmade Houses by Michael Gotkin, 2011
Examples of Cosanti's bronze and ceramic wind bells, cast in Arizona at the Arcosanti "urban laboratory" using local materials. Arcosanti was a passion project of Paolo Soleri, who envisioned self-sustainable cities or arcologies as a means of living in the future. The small town of Arcosanti in the Arizona desert, built to those principles, is an ongoing construction project and can be supported through their work at cosanti.com.
Cosanti, Scottsdale, Arizona, 2014.
This rather odd room was designed by the architect Paolo Solari as part of a shop selling bells made at an adjacent factory. Soleri is better known for Arcosanti, a utopian settlement in the desert north of Phoenix.

Hey all, I’ve been doing some thinking, and have decided I’d like to reserve this blog for photos of the wonderful friendly cat at work. I feel like he’s really the best subject for my photography, and his many vivid emotions of sleepy, aloof, and hungry far outweigh anything else I could post here. I hope you come to appreciate his beauty as I have, and will stick around for the bold new direction I take my art!
