HYUKJAE STABBING ME AS USUAL

I have so much to say.

1- thank you Heechul ( we know it was your idea cause YOU LOVE HYUKJAE

2- Gamdognim is such a good dongsaeng

3- I know this man is still not confident and he can do even better than he shows. As in singing, even in acting, EVEN DANCING.

But let’s talk about singing. Certainly he had been doing vocal training all these years but  since I’m a musician and I’ve been listening to him for a decade I can tell he’s still not comfortable singing. There are specific korean vocal techniques that might not work for everyone. There’s still traces of this ancient asian singing style, that the kpop industry infused on trainees until 2nd gen, and newcomers have been trying to get rid of it westernizing their style, and the industry sorting out with the late influx of korean- american hired talent, which perhaps was not so accepted in the past. Hyukjae’s voice it’s totally soft R&B / Pop. IF YOU HAVE NOT LISTENED TO “I WANNA LOVE YOU” GO  GET IT QUICKLY !! His range in that song it’s perfect. There have been others songs where you also hear him comfortable and others where he’s not. As every singer, he has a range. Even when rapping he sometimes uses not comfortable ranges too. His tone works better on the middle-low register .Also it might be a lack of different vocal techniques that can help to stabilize the air conduction, erase the korean “cry” attack on the notes, nasality ,etc. Anyway,  I hope he keeps finding new ways of doing things to unlock his inner self since I feel he’s still too aware of “rules”

Heenim and Hyukjae are in the studio for final rehearsal for their SS7S performance of Sweet Dream. Ryeowook is their audience. Wook and Hyuk are inexplicably sporting face masks in the privacy of the practice room.

Our Space Star comes up with the plan to punk ELF by acting as though it will be a solo performance, and then springing the world's cutest anchovy on them at the last minute. The HEEtube Director Nim, knowing full well that we won't be getting a SS7S DVD, taunts us by showing us professional footage of the moment during the show when Hyukjae is revealed.
