kageyama:

- the milk and vending machine habit continues into adulthood, and it actually is like a fandom favorite. while he’s training he sometimes walks out during break to get and get one and has to avoid a crowd of people

- to add onto this i think that people would actually start placing bets on which of the vending machines in the area kageyama will go to. it’s a whole big thing, so the schweiden alders put one in the breakroom

- kageyama is the kind of person to meet his partner in either EXTREMELY normal circumstances or absolutely extraordinary circumstances. no in between. like either the two of you are reaching for the same thing at the convinience store and then he just can’t stop thinking about you, OR he sees you almost get hit by a stray volleyball while touring the gym and then he finds out you live in his apartment building

the miya twins:

- osamu runs onigiri miya and i believe the MSBY black jackals would practically live there. in fact, it is SO COMMON for the players to be there that there is a rumor if you go enough nights you’ll get married to one of the players

- osamu falls in love because you’re a regular at the store and you’re not there for the players, you’re there because you’re charming and you love to talk to him. later he finds out you’re actually trying to extort some of his recipes and he finds that so endearing. you become a staple of the store immediately. his day doesn’t feel like it’s started until the bell chimes and you’re smiling at him

- atsumu has tried all the dating apps: hinge, tinder, raya and has had absolutely no luck while his brother’s partner just walked into his lap. however, this dry spell is particularly short lived because i 1000% believe that you’re at one of his games but IN THE OPPOSITE TEAM’s JERSEY and he’s like : lemme change that

- the miya twins don’t brawl as much physically when they’re older. they have mature communication SOMETIMES. the other times they bicker so much the MSBY black jackals put money on who’s going to win

- so as we know hinata goes to brazil to fix himself up and turn into an excellent player — i believe he gets to the beach and probably passes away because he sees so many baddies and he doesn’t even know what to do with this. in his home town there was kiyoko, and now there are all of these people and he’s like oh my god

- he learns how to speak brazilian portuguese in some ways and i think when he’s in a super tight spot where he wants someone to pass something to him or set it at him or send it his way he’ll head back to using those words briefly. i think it’s so fun too because when he first joins the MSBY team everyone is like ???? wtf did he just say

- he goes and hangs out at onigiri miya a lot because osamu is cool and so much more chill than atsumu (his setter). he also definitely places bets because onigiri miya has an excellent atmosphere for watching games

- he definitely meets his partner because of a chaotic circumstance. maybe it’s in the stands where he hits a crazy shot and he hears an “OHHHHH MY GOD HOLY SHIT” and he looks and it’s an angel. literally. and he blue screens and gets hit in the face with the ball by a team member. or maybe he’s watching atsumu fail on the dating apps and he sees him swipe past you and he has the image of you burned into his head and then he finds you at a coffee shop and dies

yeah i do have quite a few :3 some stretch the canon a bit

- so in the canon it doesn’t say that semi went to college, but i personally think he did! since he’s a civil servant for work, i feel like he would have enjoyed and majored in political science at school

- to jump off this: i think he played in a college band. throughout highschool he’d always loved his guitar and found no uses for it, so when volleyball was no longer taking up the majority of his day, he went to do music in his free time.

- i imagine that on the bus to shiratorizawa matches, he’d be typing out little lyrics in his notes app — those are the first songs he produces, albeit poorly, that get him started

- semi appreciates classics. he also enjoys modern music. when you come to his room his music taste is hella atmospheric. think “i was made for loving you” by kiss, “flawless” by the neighbourhood, metallica for a throw back. he’s also super receptive to listen to anything you might like

- he struggles with his rock makeup at first. he jokes he looks like a baboon and begs you to fix it for him. then it kind of becomes a habit for you to do his eyeliner before he gets onstage

okay so i had to look through my masterlist to find ones and i think for the most part id recommend the long fics because there is just a lot more thought put into them

recommendation #1: lovelorn — miya atsumu loves you dearly, but he’s the best man at your wedding and osamu is the groom. DON’T BE SCARED BY THE ANGST TAB - it is a journey of friendship and unrequited love and being noble. it’s by far one of the more complex and in my opinion beautiful things i’ve written.

recommendation #2: love like lightning — a thunderstorm forces you to take shelter in oikawa tooru’s apartment, the ex you’d recently broken up with and still harbored feelings for. however, through dim candlelight you reminisce over memories, work through what led you to breakup, and love anew. i’m proud of this.

recommendation #3: kiss me maybe — the volleyball team of your university is hosting a kissing booth to raise funds, and want you to be their designer. it just so happens that the captain, oikawa tooru and you have some history, and he’s the only one you want to kiss. super fun, fluffy, university, kiyoko featured, it’s like a romcom!

recommendation #4: the thing about touch — being friends with benefits with kuroo has its perks, but you discover that perhaps the feelings weren’t quite one sided at all. it’s a drabble but it’s all soft hands and morning tenderness and confessing that you are really the world to one another. i think it’s sensual and atmospheric. i wanted to write a part 2 but maybe now that im older i can do this a lot better :3

recommendation #5: timeskip!kuroo and killing the situationship — jva!kuroo wants more than whatever this is, and finally, with an oncoming promotion coming, does something about it. tender. soft. fuzzy. warm.

- DDLJ - come on now. he starts off by being the literal most annoying guy ever. teasing. getting on your nerves. accompanying you on this gorgeous trip you’ll always associate with him. totally makes you fall in love because he actually shapes up and earns everybody’s respect and he’s so worth running away from the wedding for like come on!!!

- student of the year - specifically varun dhawan’s character because he’s like athletic, silly, charismatic, flirty but he only falls for you. like yeah he’s a nerd but also like. you. you’re the only one he even cares about

bokuto:

- chennai express - tell me this man doesn’t give srk’s “fuck i really didn’t think this through, but anything for deepika” vibes. he would also happily lift his girl up the temple stairs and look flashy while doing it and would fight goons with happiness!

- happy new year - heist team! fuck yeah. does he know what he is doing? no. but he would tear up the item songs and you know it.
