Homosexuality was illegal in India until recently and it seems to be a taboo subject there. As you said, either he knows, but ignores it or he can’t really tell.

Hmm, thanks for the info.  I didn't know that. Personally, I'd like to know which one it is, because my reaction is different for both of them. One has sympathy, the other is a bit more annoyed.
