I met with a professional client today and we got to the chatty part of the meeting and discovered our joint love of ACD and I muttered a snide reference to S4 and suddenly she was shouting and I was shouting and we were BEST FRIENDS.

@cosmicgoat I understand. But it makes me more furious every time I see that quote on my dash. I think it's condescending af and while I appreciate ppl being idk excited that an actress from Hollywood acknowledges Martin as the great actor he is I don't like the phrasing she used at all (or was published). He has a great fan base and the choices he makes for his career are his own and has gotten him where he is. I wouldn't dare tell him that phrase to his face!! You don't need to be a Hollywood sell out to consider yourself appreciated. Idk what this person expects tbh. If he was unhappy with his choices he would make new ones, different ones. But he's successful and he gets to choose his work, and people in the business know him and fans new and old continue to be impressed and in awe of his work. I seriously don't understand where that comment is coming from but I personally don't like it at all. *Shrug*
You wouldn't consider doing a Martin edit of his parts in Civil War would you? I hate marvel and a lot of superhero movies in general but dying to see how he did still and never see him in civil war posts at all! Just wishful thinking here - thanks for all your Martin inspired work thus far!!
