- parents struggled to try and have a baby early into marriage, it didn’t happen so they dove into focusing on their careers, then had her as a surprise in their 40s when they no longer wanted or had time for a baby but found out too late to pursue other options without risking social judgement. she was mostly raised by a nanny as a kid until she was deemed old enough to be on her own after school

- she went to private school and graduated high school at 16 because she skipped grade 3 and took so many summer school classes just to have something to do

- she never had a pet growing up because her parents didn’t like the mess it would create

- her parents don’t approve of her career choice, especially since she started out as ‘just a substitute’. they wanted her to go into something that paid more and would mimic their own social status/wealth
