Read it and agreed. I hated it at announcement, then grew to meh and after reading #1 I’m hooked.

Oh, no doubt. Arcade was a champion. I’d wanna create a costume for him in time for Comic-con, but I don’t don’t think I can. You know that people have actually attempted to make a point that Hazmat and Mettle were poorly written? Come on, now.

Speaking as someone who read all 40 issues of Avengers Academy, nothing felt out of place in their characterization, apart from Mettle saying 'girl' a few too many times.

Second hand shop about 10-15 minutes drive from me. There's actually two, one's brilliant for cheap DVD's, the other for games. 

I can't play until half 3 until I get home though :/

How did you get the info? Its not out til tomorrow :S

I think the entire book has been leaked but a certain page is going round with the big events that happen. I haven't read the rest of the book, only the one page. Slott was right when he said this issue was important. 

Also, Marvel have released the full, unedited cover to 699 which contains a huge hint towards the events of 698.

I dont care for either but if you’re reading Animal Man you need Swamp Thing. They’re frequently connected.

Ah. Maybe that's solidified as a purchase then. I'll check out Animal Man and in the hope I don't do a 'Me' I'll love it just like everyone else does, I'll look into buying Swamp Thing when the time comes.

=P It’s cool. How about the other Batman books? I’ve heard nothing but good things about Batman and Robin, and Detective and Dark Knight recently got new writers.

I've heard many bad things about Batman and Robin. The premise was intriguing but if it's got a lot of ties to Batman Incorporated then I'm not too interested. I've heard Detective Comics and Batman: The Dark Knight are awful though. With Layman on DC, that sounds more intriguing as Chew is fantastic.

No but in July Marvel released a bunch of clips from the New York battle, and the after credits scene in HD. The team assembling was one of them.
