Note to cosplayers
Cosplay as you please, but it's incredibly offensive to look at a cosplayer who doesn't have the right body for the character they are trying to cosplay.
We do not need to see fat Naruto, short Kakashi, tall chibis, males cosplaying females, females cosplaying males, etc. This has some exceptions, of course (i.e. cosplaying a character in their genderbend outfit), but for the most part should be followed.
And I'm not saying there shouldn't be a black Sailor Moon or a black Conan Edogawa or whatever character you're trying to cosplay. I'm just saying you should cosplay for the body type you have, not the body type you want or the body type the character has.
Not saying this to be offensive. I just get weirded out when the cosplay looks off because the cosplayer taller/shorter/thinner/fatter/etc. than the character they're cosplaying by a significant enough amount that it's noticeable.
