I wanted to have a flashback of The first stages of my current Snow White dress. Sometimes cosplays are slow to come together and take a lot of time and money that have to be gradually accumulated. And that's fine! As you can see there's no details on this bodice, no hand beaded gold swirls, the blue strips on the sleeves are plain and the skirt has half the flowers. I'm also only wearing a hoop and not the 2 pettis that I currently wear. And my wig is straight out of the bag. It's the same wig I currently wear, but not styled at all. It's ok to wear something once and decided it needs to be changed. I keep meaning to do a weekly #CosplayFlashback like post, but I keep forgetting to load them up on my phone to post. I've done a lot with cosplay shots and even made a couple simple cosplays from before I made an Instagram account and it would be a fun activity to share a few of them from my convention history. Maybe if I keep getting likes on posts like this I won't forget to do it next week.

🔥Cosplay Flashback: Ashura (RG Veda / Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle) 〰 Here's the original necklace, made of styrene and thin craft foam, along with red resin gems and glass beads! I painted with a few different metallic and plain acrylic paints. There are also gold paillette sequins that go around the top part, with large beads attached to those. I love it! 〰 My remade version consisted of covering this whole base in Worbla. The original was too flimsy and started to crack, so the Worbla helped stabilise it. 🔥Cosplay Flashback: Ashura (swipe for more pics!) I've been remaking the necklace, but here's the original, along with the flame hair pieces! 〰 Picture 1 is all the pieces assembled and gessoed and ready to paint. Picture 2 is the necklace- it's made of craft foam and styrene, heated to curve around my shoulders. Styrene isn't so easy to work with, because it tends to melt and warp easily. Many glues also don't stick well. Picture 3 is a close up of the hair piece... I cut the flame shape from foam and covered each flat side with styrene. Then I tried to glue thin tiny strips of styrene along all the side edges.
