The transaortic valve implantation (Tavi) cost in India is approximately INR 15 lakhs. This excessive price of the procedure is due to the cost of the valve of TAVI which is around INR 13 lakhs. The researchers observed that the procedure has a 95.7 percent success rate in attempted TAVI, with the 30-day mortality rate being as low as 4% and the stroke rate was noted to be 1.6%. After 1 year 76% of the patients completed their follow-up, and at 1 year, the mortality rate was 17.5 % and the stroke rate was 3.5%.
