We capped off our trip to San Francisco with dinner at @cotogna_sf last night. I could wax poetic about each dish, but instead, let me just say that there is good reason this is one of the toughest reservations in town (bar seating is more readily available early in the evening fwiw). This 2016 Corte dei Papi Colle Ticchio which is 100% Cesanese delta Piglio from Lazio was the perfect wine to pair with the variety of dishes I had ordered. Elegant yet with plush fruit. Soft but still structured. Some funk and animale, but still impressively clean.
