This is a piece I commissioned from @cottaterra to depict a moment from a part of the story I haven’t actually written yet (likely chapter 11 or 12).

The couple are back in Arcadia Bay after five years to pay respects at the memorial for those who were lost in the Storm.

if i may say somethin about the max catchin feelings: i also think chloe maybe always had a small crush on max?? idk, i feel like when they were kids chloe and Max were at that age where they were discovering their sexuality's and i can see chloe bein like "wow ok yeah thats interesting" and when max left those feelings going on the backburner but when max comes back those feelings from childhood slowly return. i agree with the pool theory though bc you described it so adorably?

Oh dude i can totally see that too. Because when you’re snooping around Chloe’s room you find the photo of Max’s 10th birthday, and then the cellphone they decorated together and Max is like so surprised that Chloe actually kept that stuff. they were definitely super attached to each other even as young kids
