I just had to share this with you guys today. 💞 The story starts bittersweet at best, but ends decidedly sweet. 🐱

I made this tiny couch roughly two years ago for our Alpha Female, Ziggy. She only sat on it a few times (which I expected, she was always more of a “sit where the humans sit” type) before kidney failure escorted her across the rainbow bridge last October.

This past week, her granddaughter Hazel, as you can see, has discovered and taken to the couch. It breaks my heart in the best possible way. 🥺

I’ve meant to take pictures and post about the couch itself for quite some time, but after Ziggy left it was just too painful. It sat under a pile of stuff and my purse for months before I had the motivation to clear it off.

The proper “couch post” is still a ways off, but it is so comforting knowing that even if Ziggy can’t be my little model for it anymore, her granddaughter gladly will. 💖

They say time travels fast when that happens.

Alyssah and I were waiting for a couch to be delivered today. Sometime during dinner, we received this itty bitty teansy tiny box...? Inside was something that resembled a sleeping bag...
