Tavare was invited to play a concert on June 15, 2024 at the Keith F'eM "Church In Session" series at the Startbahn Berlin / Genezarethkirche in the neighbourhood of Neukölln, Berlin. The trio set up early in the church and over the course of the afternoon before the concert, recorded these seven songs for this, "Too Small To Be So High," their debut album on God Unknown Records. Using the natural reverb of the church and with minimal overdubs, the trio attempted to capture the immediacy and delicacy of these songs as they would be presented live later that day.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jaike Stambach, with additional material recorded by Aidan Baker. All tracks by Tavare except "Thumb" by J. Mascis.
Cover artwork by Jomar Statkun - “Should I Fall from Grace” (oil on canvas).
