Dark Ride Films – Vinyl Graveyard 50 – The Misfits – Cough Cool Review For our 50th Vinyl Graveyard episode we decided to go way back to the very first single from The Misfits....Cough/Cool.
40 years ago this August, The Misfits released their first single ever. Being Glenn Danzig and co. are such huge influences on me artistically and musically, I felt it would be awesome to record a cover of this release.

Cough Cool - 29 (Bathetic Records, 2013)
Bathetic Records était un de ces labels très souterrain dont il était assez dur de mettre la main sur leurs sorties aussi bien physiques que en numériques. Et Cough Cool semblait bien dissimulé sous une tonne de gravas. Croisement dégénéré entre un Gap Dream et Jesus & Mary Chain, 29 de Cough Cool a la même allure que si l’équipe d’Alerte A Malibu avait fait le générique sous kétamine. Appel nonchalant à l’oisiveté, si Booba s’est chargé de mettre la coke dans le sablier, Cough Cool remplace les aiguilles de votre horloge biologique par d’énormes joints. Le sommet de l’abysse est atteint lorsque Keeping Perfect Time s’abat sur vous comme un tsunami codéiné. Il ne reste que toi, gisant sur la plage, les yeux béants tournés vers le ciel.

With his new album, Whitecaps, this is no exception. One of the album’s standout’s is the vibrantly distorted upbeat guitar jam, “Dreams Come True”, which is just the sort of warm and energetic beauty that you need for these dog days of summer.
