‘ how did they find your weakness? ’
“Oh, ya know, I yelled it out to them right before we fought. I was like, ‘hey, you’ve got a better chance if you knock the guns out of my hands,’ just for the hell of it,” She snapped before lifting her injured arm a bit too fast for the state it was in though she ignored the visible wince it caused, “Or maybe they saw these noodle arms and figured it out themselves.”
She’d probably feel guilty about being this snappy with him later, it wasn’t his fault this happened, but she was still fuming from the fight itself. It had been a long time since she lost in a fight and it brought up all kinds of feeling that were better left dead.
Even her explanation was a bit weak, as Jinx had long learned to make up for lacking strength with speed and agility--- but this time was different. They weren’t the usual suspects. She had heard muttered words here and there about some random group making a name for themselves. She hadn’t thought much of it, didn’t really care. She cared now.
"Rest assured, despite... catching me off-guard, they didn’t cause any other problems-- and I’ll make sure they don’t cause any next time.”
Seems like it was time for an upgrade in her array of weapons.
