Tumblr has been going wild with the adult content tags in the past week. It's been tagging many of my drafts that have literally fully dressed people on them, or just non nude paintings or cubist sculptures as 'adult content'. They should fix their algorithm if they don't want to lose users.

The ironic part is that I am aware of the platform's struggles, but I also remember a lot of people posting art leaving Tumblr 5-6 years ago exactly because of this.

Sadly, a giant portion of the approaches to problem solving in society in the past decades is just to substract blood when you're anemic, or basically a medieval, retrogade, and counterproductive solution. Blame it on the Trump government and its extremely prude, fanatical, fundamentalist Evangelical donors.

wait okay idk if this makes any sense but because people view non binary as a third gender a trinary is being created where rather than masculine-feminine there exists a masculine-feminine-neutral. but rigidly defining gender that exists outside of the present binary of man-woman its not truely gender neutral and becomes its own gender. gender neutral is essentially becoming gendered itself.

[I]t’s worth stressing that there is still no real consensus on what cancel culture actually is. Everybody has a different idea of what it means, or what it should mean, to be “cancelled”, a word I must regularly accessorise with frilly quote marks for sanity – it is used to describe the consequences of social transgressions, but used in a way that attempts to shame the critic. Clearly when the people being “cancelled” turn it into into a profitable venture, it’s lost its effectiveness and it’s time to adopt more effective approaches.
