Coup Fatal, Rodriguez Vangama - Toccata (After Monteverdi)
I cannot stress enough how smooth this amalgamation of baroque (Vivaldi) and Congolese folk music is.
1 Feb 2017 Coup Fatal by Coup Fatal (Congo-Kinshasa, 2014)
Musical theatre performance mixing Congolese drums, rythms and choirs, and the voice of opera singer Serge Kakudji.
Congolese music mixed with baroque. <3

les ballets C de la B & KVS: Coup Fatal
This is hands down one of the best things I have seen. So talented and so full of energy, these guys are wonderful. The troop is inspired by the Sapeurs (the colourful and dapper men of the Congo; https://www.facebook.com/notes/jadili-africa/s-a-p-e-u-r-s-meet-the-sapeurs-of-congo-by-valerie-rain/226441287408044/), and it shows!
They mix baroque music sung by countertenor Serge Kakudji with traditional Congolese, rock and jazz music by a 12 piece orchestra to make something truly magical. If these guys pop up in the UK again I will be running! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsdYdiLHUxs
