Thierry and I have been on a journey together for the last little while to try and lose weight, be healthy, and get back to our best selves. Both of us have struggled with our weights and know what it is like to be on both ends of the spectrum, which as a couple has brought us closer together. We understand what the other is feeling and can support the other in their goals..I think lots of couples can agree when I say, when you enter into a relationship there is sometimes a bit of weight gain due to a number of things.. Both of us have changed our diets and have noticed a huge difference with how we feel; just by changing his diet Thierry has lost almost 45 lbs and hasn’t had an anxiety attack in months- I am so proud of him:) <3 On my journey, I got back into long distance running and I am playing soccer again, which I have missed a lot. I just wasn’t having fun on my other team and going to practice started to feel like a chore..now its helping me get back to the me that ran a half marathon and full marathon almost 3 years ago. I have lost some weight as well but it is still a work in progress :) I don’t want to look back on engagement photos, family photos, or wedding photos, or photos in general 10 or 20 years from now and hate the way I look. Not to mention I have so many clothes that I like from when I was skinny, that I would love to wear again.. Getting healthy takes lots of hard work and I don’t think people who have never struggled with body image and weight problems ever realize what we go through mentally and physically.
